Lockheed Martin Subject Matter Expert Inventory Control in Bethesda, Maryland

Description: Subject Matter Expert for inventory control. Will be tasked with day to day oversight of the logistics managements inventory control section. Must have the ability and confidence to make timely decisions, Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, customers, and senior management. must be able to work in a team and independently at times. Must be able to accept critical feedback and apply constructively. Will be required to develop advanced plans for action as required.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to.

-Provide On Job Training (OJT) to customer assigned counterpart.

-Accountable for the daily production, and continuous improvement initiatives

-Identify discrepancy trends and recommend corrective action.

-Implement and adhere to strict inventory control measures to include timelines.

-Ensure daily reports are completed.

-Conduct sectional overview briefing for manager.

-Guide technicians assigned internally to ensure tasks are completed as assigned.

-Engage in all aspects of logistics functions as it pertains to proper inventory control.

Basic Qualifications:

-USAF 7 level or civilian equivalent

-10 years managing warehouse operations

-Ability to apply knowledge of concepts and principals of planning to develop branch solutions.

-Excel basic formula functions

-Data analytics

-experience researching inventory discrepancies utilizing root cause analysis

Desired Skills:

-Previous experience developing field level operating instructions

-Strong understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS)

-Experience training Foreign Militaries

-Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)

-Ability to build and lead a strong team

-Experience managing multiple schedules/calendars

-Ability to manage resources both people and equipment effectively

-Ability to manage tasks simultaneously

-Must be able to adjust quickly to changing priorities

-Experience in interpreting data as it pertains to material inventory transactions.

-Ability to speak/communicate in Arabic
