Lockheed Martin Designer Specialist in Bothell, Washington
Description: Here within Lockheed Martin's Laser and Sensor Systems Business we are looking for a Designer Specialist to join our team. Due to the variety of the work products, the successful candidate will need a flexible and adaptable skill set, with a strong learning orientation. This role will support the engineering team by developing test plans and fixtures, designing cable drawings and specifications, managing Interconnect Diagrams (ICDs), working with vendors, and applying hands on work with assembly and test.
The successful candidate will also need a product development mindset and demonstrate a level of autonomy in their task execution while contributing to the larger engineering organization.
Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
The Locale: Bothell is a city located in the state of Washington in the Pacific Northwest. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Bothell is home to Cascadia Community College and the University of Washington, Bothell.
This position will require:
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft office tools
- Familiarity with engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of cable design and build for fiber laser applications
- Familiarity with Zuken E3
- Comfortable reading OrCAD schematics
