As the SEIT Operations lead, your responsibilities will include:
•Providing systems leadership, technical direction, and engineering support for the SBIRS Operations Senior Manager, including establishment and control of the operations technical baseline, integration leadership for all operations activities and technical direction and leadership for test and transition activities.
•Being an integral part of the overall SEIT organization and will draw upon the full resources of the SEIT organization to ensure sound system engineering principles, processes and skills are being applied to all aspects of SBIRS operations and sustainment activities.
•Providing leadership for integrating future SBIRS System Engineering into on-going operations and sustainment by establishing clear System Engineering methodologies which drive overall SBIRS 5/6, and S2E2 Development, Operations Development, and Operations Integration into full collaboration and participation with processes required to manage the SBIRS Technical Baseline.
•A key role within the SBIRS SEIT, responsible for shaping and realizing numerous, important opportunities aimed at evolving the SBIRS franchise as it transitions from development to sustainment.
•Ensuring multiple organizations follow proper system engineering processes.
•Substantial interaction and coordination with numerous customer and external organizations to ensure successful execution.
This position will require travel domestically as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

•Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI
•Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering/integration with increasing levels of responsibility
•Familiarity with SBIRS satellite and Ground architecture
•SBIRS Operational experience/knowledge
•Demonstrated performance in meeting program integrated baseline commitments
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, peers and subordinates.
•Demonstrated performance in understanding both technical and programmatic aspects of large programs
•Integration and Test experience on SBIRS or similar missile warning or command and control systems highly desired.
•Experience with requirements development and decomposition.
•Experience leading, coordinating and communicating with teams across multiple programs and contracts.
