Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking to hire a Quality Engineering professional to be the machining center quality subject matter expert at our campus in Camden, Arkansas. Our operations utilize state of the art machining centers and CMM’s to produce and validate hardware for sophisticated missile systems. This exciting role will offer the opportunity to work with multiple hardware and launcher programs that support our military personnel. This opportunity is ideally suited for an Quality Engineer with interest in working with advanced critical machining processes.
The Engineer will work on complex technical problems and provide solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious. The Engineer will act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of quality inspections and supporting machining processes. As a subject matter expert; the individual should exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness and is viewed as a leader within the field. The Engineer will develop information which extends knowledge in the field; develops new concepts and will participate in teams assembled to accomplish long-range objectives. The Engineer will contribute to proposals and may participate on business capture efforts.
The Engineer will have an opportunity to lead Quality Inspection and mentor less experienced engineers on our team. The engineer will collaborate with other disciplines to include manufacturing engineers, CMM operators, tool technicians, manufacturing support personnel and the customer on production operations in a CNC Machining environment . The engineer will attend industry conferences and will keep up-to-date on related industry best practices.

The Locale: Camden, AK is a city in southern Arkansas. Camden is located on the Ouachita River, at the end of the navigable river. Camden is about a two hour drive south from Littlerock, AR. Camden is part of the Timberlands region of Arkansas. Timber, Oil, Deer Hunting, Bass fishing... These are words commonly used when people talk about the Timberlands of Arkansas. It's a region with rich natural resources that was discovered by pioneers from the eastern United States in the early 1800s. Desired Skills: Green Belt Six Sigma Certification with knowledge of statistical process control. Effective time management and good organizational skills. SAP knowledge.NC Programming experience, G-code familiarity.
Experience with CNC Machine programming experience in the following: NX, Esprit, Vericut, MasterCAM, & Renshaw Multi-Axis would be a plus
The candidate must have advanced Mechanical and GD&T skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of AS9100D Quality Systems and CMM programming (Calypso or similar software) and open set up use.
Ability to develop, apply, and analyze effectiveness of quality methods, proactively review and develop documentation/drawing for compliance with requirements, use tools for documentation and corrective action of non-conformances.

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance and therefore must be a US Citizen.
