The Documentation Engineer will - Create procedural
change requests ensuring technical accuracy and
thoroughness of proposed changes for the FBM Program. These changes can include; Technical Manuals, Ordnance Documents (OD), and F-Documents Used by Eastern Range. The documentation engineer will ensure proposed and approved changes are captured in any and all related
technical documents and will perform a technical review of documentation against source data. You will also provide procedural support for SWS facility documentation proofing and activation, as well as,
reconcile procedures with electrical and mechanical
engineering drawings, resolve discrepancies with
cognizant individuals and groups. You will be closure oriented and be able to work under general guidance. Work completion will be reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy. As the documentation engineer you provide solutions to a variety of technical problems while following and maintaining requirements. In this role you will interface with various Engineering, Logistics, Operations, and Safety organizations, as well as, US Navy personnel to derive the required technical source data needed to create draft, preliminary, and final documentation. Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience within filed may be considered in lieu of a degree; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
Strong analytical & technical writing skills
Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using XML and PDF editing tools
Ability to obtain SECRET Clearance.
Experience using XML and basic knowledge of structured markup languages.
Ability to analyze tasks and gather requirements for future executable electronic documentation.
TRIDENT Missile Program experience with working knowledge of Shorebase processing instructions.
knowledge of Shorebase Support Equipment.
Familiarity with TRIDENT Missile terminology.
Excellent verbal communication skills .
Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Ability to travel.
