Lockheed Martin Electrical Engineering Associated Manager in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Description: Directly supports FBM Support Equipment Products in the design and development of electronic Automated Test Equipment. Manage a design team assigned with investigating and resolving issues with the hardware and/or software associated with Automated Test Equipment used for missile subsystems and component test and qualification. Oversees the development of requirements, hardware/software design, documentation, materiel procurement, and implementation according to FBM and Lockheed Martin process and procedures. Responsible for project schedule development and project proposal inputs for assigned products. Ensures project completion on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans. Responsible for developing and directing daily assignments for subordinates as required.

Position requires strong organizational and communication skills. Manages multi-disciplined teams of approximately 6 engineers who perform analysis, design, development, verification, configuration management and test of deliverable hardware and software products. This position requires the ability to interact, plan, and coordinate between Support Equipment Products Engineering and the production facility where this equipment is located and the personnel who operate and manage it. Directly engages with the Support Equipment Products management and FBM Program leadership in the coordination and prioritization of product development/implementation tasks. Ensures formal product development is performed to support key program events such as requirements reviews (SRR), preliminary design (PDR), critical design (CDR), development testing, Software Qualification Testing (SQT), production package testing, system performance reviews and formal delivery/government accreditation.

Specific job functions include:

- Maintain team focus and cohesiveness in work environment where personnel, equipment, customers and management are geographically distributed between multiple states.

- Promotes effective communication with counterparts in other program IPTs as well as US government customers

- Prepares and presents complex technical material to upper management and customer

- Participate in technical reviews/audits

- Reviews documentation and drawing changes/maintenance are performed in accordance with established engineering procedures

Desired Skills: Experience with design/development of hardware used in support of Factory Acceptance Test of FBM Trident II D5/LE Missile System, Missile Packages. Experience with IBM Rational Clearcase, or equivalent software configuration management tools.

Experience as team lead or project lead that oversaw teams of 3 or more.

Experience with Automated Test and Measurement Equipment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 9 years of professional experience or 7 years of professional experience with an equivalent Master's Degree. At least 5 years of experience working with, maintaining or developing Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
