Lockheed Martin Electronics Engineer III in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Description: As the electronics engineer you will be responsible for testing a variety of electronic equipment, systems interconnect and cabling designs in support of the Test Support Products.

You will participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, materiel procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance of cabling, interconnects and console subsystems for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multi-functional integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy's Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program.

As the electronics engineer you will mentor junior engineers, interface extensively with our customer, as well as, senior leadership. You will also create and update project status-process documentation that align to project requirements.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of missile test systems, including data

review and trending.

Develop requirements from subsystem specifications to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.

Interface with suppliers, customer, and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk

solutions.

Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design

and business teams, vendors and customers.

Technical oversight of subcontractor-supplied components and full-up testing systems

support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure.

Provide professional recommendations to subcontractors & suppliers.

Ability to travel and work at an alternate work site is required, 10%, on average.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or it's equivalent from an accredited college/university.

Minimum five years of work experience in a project

development life cycle.

Experience working with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Desired Skills:

Capability to lead a team responsible for

development and test of integrated test systems, and

experience as Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent.

Operating Systems (OS) background to include Sun Solaris or Linux, Windows.

Demonstrated an ability to lead/coordinate within small,

multifunctional teams in development of technical products.

Experience reading and interpreting schematic diagrams and other technical documentation.

Experience working with programming languages such as JAVA, C, C++, C# and python.

Experience working with RF

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
