Lockheed Martin Reentry Development Project Engineering Manager in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Description: The selected individual will lead the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) MK5 Alteration 370 Program.

The objective of the W88 MK5 Alteration 370 program is to integrate the MK5 Alteration Reentry Body (RB) into the existing Trident II D5 Missile System. This RB includes a replacement arming, fuzing, and firing

subsystem, a refreshed CHE package and other surety features to enhance nuclear safety and support future life extension program. This program includes the execution of multiple strategic program alterations (SPALTS), as well as qualification flight tests, and deployment coordination at Navy Strategic Weapons Facilities.

The selected individual with report to the Reentry Development Programs Sr. Manager. Management responsibilities will include personnel oversight; budget planning in coordination with program CAM, tracking and reporting; helping define work expectations and resource loading. The selected individual will need to be effective with integration and coordination of efforts with internal LM, SMD, and FBM organizations, our Navy SSP customers, as well as , the nuclear security enterprise including NNSA, SNL, LANL, NSC and Pantex. The selected individual will ensure consistent and compliant application of Program Management Processes, tools, and training with focus on driving program execution across a geographically diverse organization.

Basic Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university

The candidate must have experience in all phases of project management and product life-cycle leadership(development and production) to include technical requirements management, validation, verification and compliance management, financial management, and proposal development.

The candidate must have experience leading diverse cross-functional teams across internal and external organizations and customers.

The candidate must be willing to travel ( approx. 1 week out of every month)

The candidate must have excellent written/oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.

The candidate must demonstrate leadership skills and behaviors that align with Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives.

Desired Skills:

Experience and knowledge of Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) programs, Missile SIET and/or Reentry

Familiar with Strategic Programs Alterations (SPALT)

Experience with Navy SSP customer

Ability to identify key customer needs

The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years total experience, including 3 years of demonstrated experience with managing projects/programs to meet contractual commitments, milestones, and budgets. (value $10M+)
