Lockheed Martin Software Engineer - SCADA in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Description: Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches to assignments.

Desired Skills: Experience working with SCADA systems for spacecraft processing facilities and programming Schneider Electric PLCs and VFDs using Structured Text. Knowledge of critical spacecraft processing and ability to coordinate outages with internal team and customers. Ability to modify Active Directory and Structured Query Language (SQL) databases. Experience working with redundant servers and network infrastructure. Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and Ladder Logic a plus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicant must have extensive experience working and programming with Schneider Electric Vijeo Citect, to include Project Editor, Graphics Builder and Citect Explorer. Extensive knowledge of Cicode Editor and Unity Pro Programming Software. Experience working with SCADA systems for industrial environments. Ability to program Schneider Electric Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Varible Frequency Drives (VFDs). Full knowledge of System Administration for Windows Server 2008-2016. Network Infrastructure experience a must. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment and interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters.. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments based on mission requirements and schedules.
