Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer IV in Cape Canaveral, Florida
Description: This position is for the Flight Test Planning & Missile Performance group on the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program.
The Candidate will be responsible leading the Mission Planning group that creates the Flight Test Support requirements for all data collection for NAVY FBM Flight Tests. The candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of analyses related to RF link margin and missile trajectory performance using various modeling and simulation methods. The Candidate will be responsible for assigning and prioritizing tasks within the group in addition to being able to perform these duties.
This position requires frequent interaction with the NAVY customer, other FBM contractors and the Eastern and Pacific Ranges. Candidate will be responsible for working in a team environment to identify, recommend and implement future methods/assets to collect data during missile tests as existing systems are retired or become obsolete. The Candidate and their group will be a major team member of the FBM Telemetry and Flight Test Working groups.
Duties include writing or modifying MATLAB programs to support and perform specific analysis as required by the customer. Evaluating the missile trajectory to determine data collection support requirements for each FBM flight test. Candidate and their group will also be responsible for creating technical documents, providing input to data packages to support peer and customer reviews (SRR, PDR, TRR, FRR), and presenting analysis results to internal engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel during technical exchange meetings.

This position is part of FBM Reshaping and will reside in Florida.

*Bachelors degree in engineering, math, physics or other related discipline.
*Programming experience with MATLAB.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
*Good written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong interpersonal skills.
*Willingness to travel 15%.
*Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
*9 years minimum of systems engineering experience.
*Leadership experience of a technical team.
*Experience with Telemetry and/or Flight Termination Systems.
*Knowledge of any missile architecture or missile subsystem.
*Experience working with a National Range.
*Programming experience using STK.
*Knowledge of Antenna systems and associated RF architectures on board a vehicle or in a ground station.
*FBM Program experience.
*Demonstrated ability to interact with the customer and build effective relationships.
*Excellent presentation skills.
