Lockheed Martin Mechanical Engineer Propulsion in Centennial, Colorado

Description: Support rocket motor production, deployed system support, and aging programs within the Fleet Ballistic Missile Propulsion group. Participate in issue resolution, develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure. Develop, review and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and technical analyses necessary to support deployed system and manufacturing activities. Engage experienced engineers in knowledge transfer and training activities as part of reshaping of FBM business practices. Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required for this role.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Engineering or other related discipline from an accredited college/university. This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

Candidate should have an understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts. Missile/aerospace related education/exposure. Knowledge of Mechanical Design principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); Fluency in Mechanical modeling and analysis tools, such as CREO, I-DEAS, Pro-E, Uni-graphics, Autocad or similar tools. Fundamental understanding of structures and materials. Familiarity with Pro Engineer/Wildfire/Creo Elements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
