Description: This position is in the Financial Services, Accounts Receivable Management organization within Lockheed Martin Global Financial Services (GFS). The position is located in Columbus, Ohio and is responsible for supporting Lockheed Martin business units by providing accounts receivable management, collections support, and cash management assistance. The position is responsible for metrics tracking, analysis reporting and driving continuous improvement. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable for various Lockheed Martin Business Units, and working closely with program finance, contracts, business operations, and cash planners each month to ensure cash targets are met. This Associate Accountant performs a critical role in influencing government agencies, commercial customers and other facets of the organization in an effort to drive consistent and favorable collection results. Position is also responsible for extensively utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as ability to successfully analyze and accurately resolve accounting transactions and balances.
This is a fast paced, challenging position where the candidate must be a proven high performer and quick learner. An ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive, diverse team environment is expected.
Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree
-Experience with Accounts Receivable
-Effective critical thinking and analytical skills
-Ability to successfully and efficiently multi-task
-Identify and leverage new technologies
-Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel
-Experience / knowledge of accounting transactions and related impacts
-Project management and problem solving skills
Experience with SAP
Experience with power query
