Lockheed Martin Fire Control Engineer in Edwards Afb, California

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to test multiple weapons projects. The successful candidate will function as the LM point of contact for flight test weapon development at the Combined Test Force and should have expertise in systems engineering principles as it relates to weapons developmental testing. Duties include: Develop test plans, test procedures and run cards, for ground tests, free flight and live fire events. Lead planning and execution of weapons ground and flight tests. Conduct system level tests at each phase of the development process. Coordinate with LM Fort Worth Integrated Product Team IPT, System Project Office (SPO) and other team members. Coordinate Flight Readiness Review (FRR) requirements across product teams. Conduct Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and Flight Readiness Reviews (FRR) for all phases of weapons developmental testing. Provide real-time mission support and post mission debriefs of weapon performance. Interpret and analyze test firing telemetry data. Document findings and results in accordance with established development and configuration management processes. Effectively communicate and report on discovered anomalies. Assist with troubleshooting and deficiency correction. Support Test Plan Working Group (TPWG) meetings. Candidate must have exceptional interpersonal skills and must be able to work well in a test team environment. This position will require occasional travel. Must be a US Citizen. Position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have a final Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Secret SAR/SAP clearance.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or above Degree in an engineering or related technical discipline.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Experience in Systems Engineering.

Experience in requirements development and decomposition, supporting Systems Engineering Technical Reviews.

Active Secret clearance.

Desired skills Prior Flight Test experience

Systems engineering or other engineering degree

Strong oral and written communication skills

Weapons Integration or store certification, or experience in flight test planning and execution
