Lockheed Martin Personnel Recovery Equipment Technician / clearance required in Fort Knox, Kentucky

Description: Duties includes: Testing of all assigned Personnel Recovery (PR) special mission equipment and systems. Maintain database to track equipment status and periodic maintenance inspection dates. Maintain inventory control utilizing automated systems. Coordinate the outsourcing and life cycle replacement for PR special mission equipment. Conduct basic and advance user-level training on operation of assigned equipment as well as required field maintenance. Support, issue and receive equipment for deployed/deploying personnel, exercise and training events.

Additional duties: Assist with the development of annual spend plan and assisted budget management as it pertains to procurement of PR special mission equipment. Assist with preforming research, development, testing and evaluation of equipment. Provide sound and timely technical advice to manager and users of PR special mission equipment. Maintain awareness of developing technologies and trends regarding current and future PR equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

Knowledge of Personnel Recovery (PR) special mission equipment and systems.

Willingness to work rotational shifts including days, evenings, midnights, holidays and as required

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

This facility requires special access and therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

TS/SCI clearance

Basic ropes course

Hydraulic tool maintenance

High/low pressure equipment maintenance

Small gas powered engine maintenance

Atmospheric monitor/beacon calibration and maintenance

Rotary wing insertion/extraction testing and maintenance

Familiar with Special Operations

Para rescue

Fire/rescue

Rotary wing operations
