Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: This position is for an Aeronautical Engineer within the F-35 External Loads team. Specific responsibilities will include analyses of static external loads for all variants of the F-35 high performance fighter aircraft. The analyst will calculate flight/ground static air and inertia loads for F-35 airframe and sub components, landing gear, stores, etc. In addition, supporting flight and ground testing may be required which may include anomaly resolution and correlation and development of load databases. The group works within a team environment with a lead engineer guiding and directing the analyses and activities of the engineer.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience with fundamental aerospace engineering such as statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics or flight dynamics.

Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Windows operating system.

Desired Skills:

Masters degree in an associated field or discipline.

Previous experience in static loads analyses or related fields such as finite element analyses, computational fluid dynamics, mass properties, aero/performance, stability & control, or flight sciences flight testing.

Desired technical skills include:

1) Working within the UNIX/LINUX operating system environment

2) Computer programing experience in FORTRAN, VBA, C/C++, and scripting languages.

3) Experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB, ADAMS, NASTRAN, etc.
