Lockheed Martin Aircraft Mechanic III Instructor - RIAIS- F-16 Avionics backshop in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: RIAIS. Provide formal intermediate level instruction on the F-16 avionics test station functions and activities. Operates, inspects, maintains, programs, and calibrates avionics test station, manually operated avionics test equipment, support equipment (SE), and aircraft components of the radar, communications, weapons control, electronic warfare, and flight control and engine control systems. Performs operational tests on test equipment, SE, and aircraft components to determine condition, analyze performance, and isolate malfunctions, determines the scope of repair and adjustment required. Removes and replaces assembly components using hand tools, soldering devices, and electronic instruments as well as repairs wiring harnesses and interconnecting cables.
The instructor shall posses at a minimum the equivalent of a USAF skill level of seven (7) with 4 years current military experience working in an F-16 avionics backshop. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory. All instructors shall be U.S. citizens. All personnel must have a secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance prior to employment. All necessary instructor, technical and skills certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
Meet physical requirements of USAF AFSC/7 skill level.
Experience working with foreign nationals and documented Instructor experience is highly desired and will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration. F-16 Block 40 or higher experience preferred. Candidates with additional experience in any of the following areas are preferred; shop setup, field training detachment (FTD), technical order library maintenance, quality assurance, or modification teams. Experience in more than one of the aforementioned areas will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration.
