Lockheed Martin Conventional Weapons Program Manager - Individual Contributor in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: This position performs project management tasks for several concurrent, multi-billion-dollar domestic and international weapons development contracts on all F-35 variants. The position is aligned under the Vice President for F-35 Development and reports to the Weapons Program Management Office management. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. This position continuously works with Business Management and Control Account Managers to identify, analyze, and attack earned value performance issues and metrics problems. This position’s fundamental responsibilities are to ensure the correct scope and material are bid into proposals and ensure cost and schedule for existing contracts adhere to government contracted timelines. This project manager will lead all proposals to ensure new scope is baselined, scheduled, and will continuously monitor execution to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost reductions. This person will be able to communicate current status and issues to LM Vice Presidents, EVPs and senior international and US government leaders.
This position will require a moderate amount of US & International travel.

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
- Program or Project Management/Engineering Experience
- Aircraft Weapons Integration Experience
Experience working with the F-35 Program or similar fighter program
Fighter Weapons Integration Experience
Flight Test Experience with Fighter or Bomber Aircraft
Excellent Communication Skills – ability to communicate to internal and external senior leadership
Project engineering experience
Program management experience
Earned value management experience
Excellent organization and time management skills
Previous experience with engineering releases and configuration change control is desired
