Lockheed Martin Design Engineer Sr in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: Engineering Checker to evaluate and investigate pertinent design factors on F-16 and/or F-22 retrofit and production engineering design, 3-D models and drawings including all related design data (including classified data). Identify design compatibility errors and verify all features are of one interpretation, complete and adequate for downstream users. Ensure the engineering design, models/drawings and related data meet all contractual, company, and Program requirements. Utilize working knowledge and application experience of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing based on ASME Y14.5 along with ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices. Utilize working knowledge and application experience on a computer aided design system with 3D experience. Utilize working knowledge and application experience in verification of engineering bill of material (EBOM). Successful candidate must be able to work in a model centric environment and should be efficient with PC operations and MS Office Suite. Very detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment where critical and tight schedules are common and must be met with quality results. A combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent to the degree requirement.
Prior engineering design checking and or verification of drawings and associated models and parts lists.
Design and engineering change process experience.
Experience with Build To Package standards and processes.
Candidate must be able to work in a model centric environment and efficient with PC operations and MS Office Suite.
Experience with ASME standards (Y14.100 Drawings, and Y14.5 GD&T), prior drawing and model checking, Experience with both production and retrofit/service action checking or drawing incorporation bill of material issues. Experience with multiple part or aircraft type/version (effectivity) concepts. Experience with CATIA V4 and/or V5.
