Lockheed Martin Dynamic Systems Structural Analyst - Composites, FEM, Catia, Hand Analysis in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: The candidate must have experience with researching and developing structural analysis involving metals and non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design support. Familiarity with damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling is a must. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress, fatigue and thermal analysis. Tools utilized may include ANSYS, CATIA, and a variety of other software applications. Additionally, strong leadership skills are highly desirable. This candidate may be asked to assist with group management.

Desired Skills: The candidate will be responsible for analysis in support of the design of rotorcraft dynamic systems, which include blades, blade retention, control system, and drivetrain components of main and tail rotors. Candidate will participate in the conceptual through detailed design phases with the goal of exceeding customer requirements such as Performance, Weight, Producibility and Cost. Job function shall also include support of ground test and flight test activities. Knowledge in CATIA V5 CAD (or equivalent) and/or ANSYS (or equivalent) is necessary. Knowledge of Classic Laminate Plate Theory is a must.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

The Dynamic Systems Analyst will bring expertise in composites analysis, both static and fatigue, and will be a mentor for others within the group. Other analysis will include providing stress/fatigue analysis of metallic rotating components, and transmissions.

Additional responsibilities will include support of ground and flight test activities along with writing test requests.
