Lockheed Martin Flight Test Manager in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: Manager Fort Worth IFG Flight Test Integration Team reporting to the Senior Manager. Leads the team that is the primary interface to the F16 and F22 Special Projects Office (SPO) for the execution of modifications, instrumentation, and testing of the IFG platforms. Manages the planning, preparation, conduct and test reporting of flight vehicle ground and flight test. Responsible for Earned Value Management System budget of over $15 million annually.
Responsibilities include top level planning, instrumentation requirements definition, instrumentation system and detail design, instrumentation installation and checkout, management of aircraft modifications, and data processing support to determine flight test vehicle compliance with specification and operational suitability.
Responsible for the on time delivery of Fort Worth IFG Flight Test Integration deliverables. Oversees the planning, scheduling, and delivery of contractor furnished and government furnished equipment required to accomplish verification and validation in support of avionics, missions systems, flight sciences, and weapon system flight test integration activities. Manages flight test requirements development and definition, and identifies and mitigates program safety, security, schedule and cost risks.
This position requires the candidate to effectively interface with internal customers including IFG Executive Leadership, Program Managers, Prime Groups, Production Operations Leadership in addition to external customer USG Leadership, DCMA, F16 SPO, and government installation leaders.
Provides people and improves processes to plan, coordinate, and execute affordable test solutions across all flight test disciplines. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
The expectation is that the selected candidate will spend up to 50% of their time working technical "direct" tasks and approximately 50% of their time engaged in L-code activities.

Flight test experience is required.
Experience managing one or more aspects of flight test such as: Flight Operations, Maintenance, Configuration Management, Aircraft Modifications, Avionics Flight Test, Flight Sciences Flight Test, Instrumentation and Installation Design, and Data Processing.
Experience with Project Management and Bid and Proposals.
Experience with Earned Value Management System. CAM or OBS manager experience.
Proven full spectrum leadership, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with leading and managing a team of over 20 individuals.
Experience with and knowledge of Flight Test Principles, Practices and Procedures.
Experience with F16 or F22 programs at Fort Worth or Edwards Air Force Base Flight Test Center.
Active F16 or F22 projects clearance at Secret level.
