Description: Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) Conceptual Sims Software team requires Senior Level Software Integration Engineer experienced in the use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques required to integrate, test and release software. The technical emphasis of this position focuses on providing Man-in-the-Loop simulation systems which include low-to-medium fidelity models and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) capabilities to support the F-35, ADP and IFG Lines of Business.

You will work as an integral part of a highly motivated team using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Tasks include software test planning and execution; software configuration management and release; and managing the continuous integration activities of the team. Some requirements analysis and design may also be required.

This position requires a complete understanding and wide application of software requirements, design, development, integration, and verification principles and concepts. Strong object-oriented design and programming experience is highly desired.

This position offers the opportunity to travel within the United States and internationally. There are times where you may need to work a flexible schedule to support lab development and integration activities to meet program needs.

This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided.

Within L&TS resides an extensive selection of simulators and software/systems integration test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues. Our products are used to advance weapon systems development, strengthen pilot familiarization, assess human factors, evaluate aircraft control laws, improve mission study effectiveness, provide test capabilities required for contract verification and provide integration testing and verification capabilities for aircraft systems and software.

**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a Secret security clearance updated within the last 5 years to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with software configuration management tools (i.e. Git, Dimensions)

2+ years of experience with C++ programming

2+ years of experience with Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) / Object-Oriented Design (OOD) techniques

Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline.

Desired Skills:

Experience developing and executing software test plans/procedures from system-level and component-level requirements.

Experience developing and executing software configuration management and software release processes.

Strong problem-solving skills

Domain knowledge in the areas of PVI, navigation, sensors and/or weapons is highly desired.
