L&TS a highly innovative team responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L&TS resides an extensive collection of systems integration and test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, Reprogramming Laboratories, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues.
This position is for a Systems Engineering position assigned to the F-35 program team responsible for the development of real-time simulation systems consisting of avionics man-in-loop simulations. The primary set of responsibilities of this position include performing Laboratory system requirements derivation, requirements management and system design development, system integration, system requirements verification, system performance validation, and investigating laboratory anomalies.
The technical emphasis of this position is focused on the domain of Aircraft sensor sub-systems. Specific tasks include requirements management, test plan development, test procedure development, requirements verification, validation test execution, and validation analysis for sensor models and other simulation components in the context of an integrated simulation system. This position may involve travel to support integration and testing activities.
NOTE: This position requires unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a Secret Clearance.
-Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline required
-Experience in performing one or more of the following: system requirements development, system design development, system integration and verification, statistical analysis and validation.
Man-in-the-Loop Simulation Experience.
- Familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture, and subsystems.
- Working knowledge of F-35 mission sets and threat analysis.
- Experience with F-35 Flight Test data.
- Experience with complex simulation validation, including working knowledge of Statistics, and experience with MATLAB.
- Experience in development and execution of Verification Test Procedures.
