Lockheed Martin Lead Software Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: Become part of the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) Loads & Dynamics team.

This position is for a Software Lead Engineer with Cost/Technical/Schedule responsibility for the Methods and Data Processing sub-team. This position will also act as the overall System Architect for IFG Structures Methods and Tool Development.

This team designs, develops, maintains and improves software tools for use in structural analysis, including major fleet usage data analysis tools for F-16, F-22 and T-50 platforms. The team also performs fleet usage data analysis for the F-22 and supports customers who perform data analysis for the F-16.

The System Architect provides oversight of design, development, improvement and maintenance of major tools and processes used in Structural Analysis, providing direction on the best approaches and practices.

The Lead Engineer develops and guides technical path for the sub-team to achieve critical organizational objectives, coordinating with manager, program and customer on technical issues. The Lead Engineer develops and maintains several software systems within the team portfolio.

The Lead Engineer ensures the sub-team executes to plan, responsible for all plans, estimates and BOEs, schedule and budget inputs, coordinating with manager on staffing requirements and priorities.

The Lead Engineer assists manager with staff evaluation, development and training needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors or Master's degree from an accredited college in software, mechanical or aeronautical engineering or related technical field with relevant experience in a related industry.

Experience working in C/C++, C#, or Java

Experience working with cross functional teams.
