Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer Associate in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: This position will be assigned to the F35 Wing Structures (J461/462) Production Engineering Team supporting the buildup of the F35 Wing structures. The successful candidate will proactively support an assigned lead as a Manufacturing Engineer and will be responsible for supporting the day to day Production build. This includes working directly on the shop floor bringing timely issue resolution such as investigating tooling issues, assessing and providing dispositions for tooling corrective action, determining root cause of non-conformances, and coordinating with engineering for process or repair clarification/strategy. Position will also require working in an office environment maintaining build documentation such as Manufacturing Plans, Tooling Requirements Forms, and Corrective Action Plans. The successful candidate will be expected to identify improvement opportunities design/develop creative solutions and implement those opportunities. Will be required to work closely with production and production support team as well as Quality, other manufacturing engineers. Performs other duties and assignments as required. Must be willing and able to support overtime activities on weekends when required. Ensure that production assembly cost and schedule requirements are met. Core competency in manufacturing engineering with knowledge or course work in test or mechanical engineering.
Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
Prior experience in a related industry.
•Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control.
•Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards
•Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment.
•Strong oral and written communication skills.
•Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint
