Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: Manufacturing Engineer supporting F-35 Delivery Operations, but assigned to the Aircraft Finishes Facility. This Manufacturing Engineer will provide direct support to the Aircraft Finish Facility, Weight & Balance, Acceptance Test Facility, Fuel Operations, Ground Operations, Flight and Deliver Operations. This person will coordinate as needed with other agencies such as Quality, Planning, MRB, Fab, Tooling, NDI as needed to drive solutions to issues impacting Delivery Ops. Develops and maintains Manufacturing Plans and Aerospace Equipment Instructions (AEIs) for F-35 Delivery Operations, accomplishing revisions as required to reflect technical updates or changes in operations. Coordinates with Production Operations supervision to ensure efficient and effective processing of aircraft through Delivery Operations, and provides inputs back into the build process for upstream Scheduled Work Breakout Stations (SWBS). Writes Tool and QAR Tool request as required. Works to establish Root Cause Corrective Action for identified issues. Supports Integrated Corrective Action (ICA) / Corrective Action Response Team (CART) / Corrective Action Board (CAB) / Senior CAB tasking. Supports Delivery Operations Performance Management Teams, and works with Operations Engineers to create and board projects through Manufacturing Control Change Board (MCCB) for Rapid Cost Reduction Initiative (CRI) or for Affordability Implementation. Works within established engineering databases to release and update baseline engineering and procedures.
Must be able to rotate shifts and work alternate shifts as required.
Some weekends and overtime required as a general standard in this position.
Must be a US Citizen.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills: •Prior Leadership Development Desirable.
•Familiarity with Computer Aided Design
.Experience with 5th Gen Fighter Aircraft Desirable
•Lean Principles, Root Cause Analysis, Microsoft Project, Problem solving skills
•Good written and verbal communication for interfacing with technical support team, build team, and internal and external customers.
•Bachelors degree, preferably in an Aeronautical, Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical, or related field.
• Experience reading engineering blueprints, requirements and designs.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with manufacturing and assembly processes.
