Lockheed Martin Multi-Functional Manufacturing Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: F-35 Final Assembly Manager: Leads Supervisors, Associate Managers and Manufacturing support personnel in Production of F-35 Final Assembly operations. Leads the team priorities and daily operations for the bargaining unit labor resources, while interfacing with manufacturing planning, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, production control and inspection. Assures the timeliness and accuracy of aircraft records. Manages direct, indirect and allocated business unit budgets. Uses earned value management tools to manage production task execution.

Coordinates employee recruitment, training, performance, work assignments. Ensures adherence to company and F-35 Program policies and procedures. Leads the execution of Assembly and Test of the F-35 Final Assembled aircraft, SWBS J830.

Responsible for work group performance to targets associated with employee safety, aircraft quality, schedule, cost and adherence to defined processes.

Responsible for coordination with manufacturing engineering to provide appropriate technical input to employees, staffing line analysis and planning, performing annual performance assessments, and review of salaried employees. Ensures product meets inspection requirements. Develops and implements Cost Reduction Initiatives, as well as ensures tooling, workplace layouts and staffing are aligned with quality, cost and schedule requirements. Reinforces a culture that values and embraces foreign object damage prevention. Responsible for ensuring housekeeping and 6-S requirements are met and adhered to. Ensures certification of employees who perform certification-required tasks. Provides a safe working environment and takes timely corrective action to correct unsafe conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

* Previous aircraft assembly experience.

* Previous supervisory or program management experience in aircraft manufacturing or production operations.

Desired Skills:

* Aircraft integration and test experience

* Aircraft customer delivery experience

* Microsoft Office Proficient

* Organization skills with lean manufacturing techniques

* Second shift position, but must be willing to work any shift based on business need.
