Lockheed Martin QA Engineer Staff (Core) in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: This position reports to Quality Engineering leader or supervisor assigned to a specific fabrication, assembly, or flight line area or segment. The mission of quality engineering is to ensure that the Lockheed Martin company management system operates effectively by correctly applying QE methods and tools to prevent defects from occurring and to test for and validate company management system effectiveness. In doing this, the candidate shall utilize statistical techniques and preventive action methods to evaluate and initiate actions to identify and control sources of variation detrimental to quality, cost, and schedule targets under general supervision of more senior personnel. The candidate shall devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating/validating the precision and accuracy of engineering, production, and inspection processes. The scope of assignment includes; quality and cost data analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action investigations, process validations, supplier quality integration tasks, development of prototypes/concept demonstrations, and implementation of technology based inspection systems. The candidate may specialize in the areas of design, product evaluation and reliability, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
-Technical degree in Engineering, Math, or Science
-Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
-Root Cause Analysis experience or training
-Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
-3D modeling experience (CATIA, CREO, Pro-E, NX, or other equivalent software)
-3D printing and/or prototyping experience
-Automation programming experience (MatLab, Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, C+, or
other equivalent automation programming languages)
• Lockheed Martin internship experience
• Ability to conduct design reviews using 2D drawings, 3D models, and 3D printing methods
• Experience working in augmented and virtual reality based immersive collaboration environments
• University research study/project experience
• Demonstrated experience with autonomous and/or operator controlled robotics technologies
• Formal Geometric Data & Tolerance Training
• Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations
