Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: This position will report to the Supplier Quality Management team with the responsibility of improving material availability within the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics supply base. Position will require engaging with executives of a defense contractor to communicate and elevate the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics position on the contractor’s performance. The successful candidate will open the lines of communications and aggregate performance data across various operating sites of the contractor to ensure a comprehensive Lockheed Martin Aeronautics performance suite and critical information is communicated and acted upon at the enterprise executive level. The candidate will ensure appropriate risk reduction methods, corrective and preventive actions and performance improvement strategies are developed and will then follow progress to ensure positive outcomes are realized. The ideal candidate will have both a technical background as well as a solid business acumen.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Experienced in supply chain competencies and strategies.

Firm understanding of AS9100, AS9145 (PPAP/APQP), zero defect plan development.

Skilled in the tools of root cause analysis and corrective action.

Experience interacting at the executive level.

Desired Skills:

Previous experience in a consultant/advisor role to company executives.

Experienced in manufacturing process validation methods.

Understanding of the total life cycle from product requirements definition through manufacture and delivery.

Understanding of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma's methods.

Leadership experience.

Excellent verbal and written skills.

Preferred candidate will be located in El Segundo, CA

Palmdale, CA, San Diego, CA, Baltimore, MD or Fort Worth, TX.
