Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Associate-Entry Level in Fort Worth, Texas
Performs systems engineering and integration functions for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Vehicle Systems (VS) Integration Team. Your primary responsibility is to assist the VS Integration Team Leads with producing VS System Release Memos (SRMs), Release Authorization Notices (RANs), Airworthiness Integration Reports (IRs), Change Requests (CRs), System Description Documents (SDDs), Troubleshooting Guides and associated weekly status metrics. Your responsibilities will cover the hardware, software and firmware for the VS Integrated Product Teams including Flight Control Systems (FCS), Propulsion Systems, Electrical Power Systems (EPS), Power & Thermal Management Systems (PTMS), Landing and Arresting Gear Systems (LAGS), Hydraulic and Utility Actuations Systems (HUAS), Fuel Management Systems (FMS), Fire Protection Systems (FPS), Escape & Life Support (E&LS) Systems, and Cockpit Equipment & Lighting (CE&L). A secondary responsibility is assisting VS Integration Team Leads with Engineering Production & Sustainment activities for delivering LRIP Aircraft and supporting the delivered LRIP Fleet. For both responsibilities, applicant will have to quickly develop knowledge on the hardware, firmware and software of the VS IPTs listed above. You will represent VS Integration at VS management reviews and represent VS at higher tier management meetings and reviews. Coordinates with other Vehicles Systems organizations and other F-35 organizations as required. You will actively direct a team of engineers in product IPTs within the VS organization, to accomplish the assignments covered above. Strong teamwork skills are required. This assignment requires a pro-active attitude and the ability to motivate others to respond in a fast paced work environment. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering
Desired skills - Highly motivated individual with the ability to learn continuously and expand JSF system knowledge in a fast pace work environment - Candidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations, must possess strong oral and written communication skills - Thoroughness and attention to detail required to ensure engineering documentation supports flight test activities & aircraft deliveries - Ability to take charge of a situation and complete assignments on time and successfully - JSF Vehicle Systems (VS) Systems Engineering & Integration experience or experience with VS IPTs on other aircraft programs.
