This position is with the Skunk Works Mission Systems and Software team located in Fort Worth, Texas. The specific focus of this position is to participate in the development, integration & testing, and fielding of aircraft and ground-based radios & datalinks for both Command & Control (C2) and tactical utility.

The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing team supporting a technology development effort. The candidate must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will require frequent internal interactions with project leads and other software engineers in the group. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities may be required.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. A Final Secret clearance is required to start.

Desired Skills: Radio architecture knowledge & Software Defined Radio experience (SDR)

Fundamental knowledge of digital (electronic) circuits

RF basics: transmitters, receivers, signals (analog/digital), RF behavior (loss/gain, DBs, bandwidth, etc), modulation, spread spectrum, etc

Avionics systems and embedded processing

Fundamentals of cryptography: cipher types and modes, hash functions, etc

Basics of trusted computing technologies

Fundamentals of multi-core processing

Must also demonstrate the following:

• Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics

• Strong decision making and judgment

• Independent and self-motivated

• Oral and written communication skills

• Basic financial and business acumen

• Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed

• Demonstrated experience using standard office software tools/ solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

• Ability to travel


Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Aviation Technology or a STEM-related degree.

Experience with integration and test

Experience with datalinks.
