This is a requisition for the Communications Lead position inside the Mission Systems and Software Integrated Product Team (IPT) on an ADP program. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers through the product lifecycle from requirements to delivery. Experience with design and integration of broad, multi-domain communication systems integration is highly desired.

The selected candidate will be responsible for budget, schedule, and technical performance of the Communications Team. The candidate will liaise between other engineering disciplines within the program to ensure a comprehensive integration of communication equipment in the broader system against requirements is accomplished. Experience working with cross-functional teams is highly desired.

The ADP program environment includes complex, integrated system requirements, aggressive milestones, and dynamic task prioritization. The ability to appropriately direct the Communications Team to address priorities within budget and schedule is required. The selected candidate must be willing to employ innovative approaches to maximize program performance.

The selected candidate will be required to prepare and give briefings to senior Customer leadership and Lockheed Martin management across the portfolio. The candidate must possess exceptional people skills and oral and written communication skills. Travel (approximately twice monthly) is required to Customer facilities and Lockheed Martin sites.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. A Final Secret clearance is required to start.

Desired Skills: Program development experience

Radio architecture knowledge & Software Defined Radio experience (SDR)

Fundamental knowledge of digital (electronic) circuits

RF basics: transmitters, receivers, signals (analog/digital), RF behavior (loss/gain, DBs, bandwidth, etc), modulation, spread spectrum, etc

Avionics systems and embedded processing

Fundamentals of cryptography: cipher types and modes, hash functions, etc

Basics of trusted computing technologies

Fundamentals of multi-core processing

Must also demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated experience using standard office software tools/ solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

• Ability to travel

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM-related degree.

Experience with Systems Engineering processes

Demonstrated leadership experience

Experience with Earned Value Management/Metrics

Experience working with DoD customers and industry suppliers
