Description: This is an opportunity to work on the Labs and Tech Services (L&TS) System Engineering team. Labs & Technical Services organization, responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L &TS resides an extensive collection of systems integration and test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues.

This position is for F-35 ADP (Advanced Development Program) Systems Engineering Staff (Systems Integration Engineer). The primary set of responsibilities of this position include performing, providing laboratory system requirements derivation, requirements management and system design development, system integration, system requirements verification, system performance validation, and investigating laboratory anomalies.

Candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to the laboratory staff to support integration, operation, and upgrades to the system.

This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided.

Must be a US citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

There is potential to be performing other work or supporting other projects within the labs or E&T overall.

Desired Skills: - Degrees preferred: Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering

- Experience in verifying the reprogramming the F35 Aircraft Mission capability in a hardware in-the-loop laboratory environment.

- Debugging skills supporting SPAR resolution

- Debugging skills to troubleshoot down to the RF component level

- Familiarity with SUN Solaris OS

- Familiarity LabView scripts for CFS calibration

- Experience with C++ background

- Knowledge of datalink tools such as MANDRIL, CIVET, LEGS, TACP-CASS, StrikeLink, WinIDM Workbench

- Strong oral written communication skills

- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

- Strong work ethic and self-motivation

- Strong planning skills to include logical task structure, estimating, etc.

- Strong understanding of product development


-Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university

-Experience in performing one or more of the following: system requirements development, system design development, system integration and verification.

-Experience with simulation systems.
