Description: Strategy and Business Development for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) programs is seeking a Business Development and Strategy Analyst to support the IAMD Line of Business for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) in Grand Prairie, TX. The role focuses on new business captures in Department of Defense Integrated Air and Missile Defense programs, defense sciences and technology, Defense Department and Services Research and Development Activities; Science and Technology Centers, DARPA and other advanced technology activities of the US. Government. Areas of responsibility include all U.S. Armed Forces Air and Missile Defense weapons and systems developed or fielded by MFC. Responsibilities include:

Work side-by side with Business Development Principals, Capture Managers, Program Management, and engineering team members to translate customer needs (current and anticipated) into discriminating technical and business solutions for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control product lines.

Assisting Business Development Principals and Capture Managers in the pursuit of new business opportunities.

Assessing customer strategic capability gap requirements and advocating technology solutions, planning, business opportunity identification and validation, capture plan development and execution, and customer interaction management.

Desired Skills: Superior knowledge of U.S. Armed Forces AMD operational strategy, tactical employment and modernization strategy.

Possess experience and a current working knowledge of DoD Acquisition process and DoD Directive 5000.1, the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Army Air and Missile Defense Combat Developments process.

Previous experience with the U.S. Army and MDA Program Objective Memorandums (POMs), acquisition and procurement business processes, and U.S. Armed Forces Service cultures to align strategic objectives and capture strategies.

Superior knowledge of U.S. Army and MDA Program Objective Memorandum (POM) build, acquisition and procurement business processes and U.S. Armed Forces Service cultures.

Superior understanding of the Department of Defense and U.S. Army budgeting and acquisition processes

Knowledgeable of linkage and coordination between U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence, Program Executive Office, Missiles and Space programs of record and Air and Missile Defense program operations in the Pentagon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to obtain US Government Top Secret clearance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in U.S. military, U.S. Government, or technology-based industry.

Minimum 5 years’ experience with program management, capture excellence, or strategic planning.

Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and proven success leading within high-performing organizations.

Possess a high degree of technical and operational knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense weapons systems, sensors and military advanced science and technologies.

Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management, engineers, Department of Defense officials and Functional employees.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
