Lockheed Martin CAD Support Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas
Description: Do you love working with CAD products and want to support others that are using them? Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is hiring for an opening as a Senior Computer Aided Design (CAD) Application Support Engineer. In this role, you would support internal Lockheed Martin employees to ensure that our Engineering/CAD applications are running smoothly.
In this role, your responsibilities would include:
Planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining enterprise-wide Computer Aided Design solutions using internally created and/or off the shelf products. CAD packages include PTC Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia, and others, as required.
Distribute and install CAD applications.
Support the end users with application issues.
Supports associated applications as assigned.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a secret clearance
Prior CAD Application experience (specifically PTC CREO)
Be able to prepare automated installation packaging
Ability to prepare documentation and work instructions for the work performed
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
Active Secret clearance
Prior CAD Application experience- CREO, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and CATIA
Experience with license management in an enterprise environment
Knowledge/experience in Engineering application disciplines
Programming Experience in an engineering related language such as C/C++, Python, Perl, Visual Basic (VB), or PowerShell
Software installation and configuration experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and organization skills
Process Improvement oriented
Intuitive thinker that can contrive and implement new solutions to technical problems
