Lockheed Martin Contracts Negotiator Sr in Grand Prairie, Texas
Description: MFC is seeking a Senior Contracts Negotiator for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support THAAD Program pursuits with contract administration, negotiations, metrics, and future contract planning.
Provides proposal preparation, contract negotiation, administration assistance for the programs and special projects as assigned.
Develops and applies solutions to unusually complex problems which require the use of a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation; solutions which may serve as precedent for future decisions.
Reviews and evaluates customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts; provides risk assessments and offers alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language.
Evaluates and coordinates proposals; investigates and reconciles significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc.
Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached during negotiations.
This position will require travel.
Bachelor's degree with 4 years of professional experience or 2 years of professional experience with a Master's degree
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Prior Contracts Negotiation experience
Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, administration, and close-out
Proven experience negotiating and administering a variety of fixed price type (FFP, FPIF) and cost type contracts (CPFF, CPIF)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Incentive Fee Contracting knowledge of both Cost Type and Fixed Price arrangements
Prior Contracts experience working with MDA (Missile Defense Agency) or THAAD work experience
Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) experience
Familiarity with the IWTA system and related policies and procedures
FMS Contracting Experience
Should be detail oriented and able to work in a virtual team environment
Ability to engage in routine and unique problems / issues to help develop solutions for multi-million-dollar complex contracts
Proven ability to develop internal and external relationships
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to coordinate DCAA and DCMA activities including audits, performance based payment plans, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent presentation skills, strong analytical abilities, and be a self-start who can work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen
