Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support the Program Production Engineering team. This position is primarily focused on sustainment activities for the PAC-3 Program. PAC-3 Sustainment encompasses all the efforts required to support our products once they have reached the end user's hands. This role may support those efforts by performing some of the following tasks: ensuring timely repair of field failures, stockpile reliability testing, re-certification, liaison support to other Lockheed facilities, managing tooling contracts, developing repair procedures, earned value management, capturing new business by preparing proposal estimates for labor, tooling, travel, capital etc. and any other special assignment the program requires.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. Basic Qualifications - Ability to obtain a security clearance - Ability to travel domestic and/or international - Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) - Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles - Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration - Demonstrated effective communication skills including oral, listening, technical writing and presentations - Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
Desired skills - SAP Experience - Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification - Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) experience - Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex. - Experience in the manufacture of circuit card assemblies, welded assemblies, machining or casting of steel, aluminum or titanium alloys
