Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Grand Prairie, Texas
Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to lead the Lower Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense (PAC-3 Missile) Production Engineering team. The position will lead a growing team of manufacturing engineers whose responsibilities include Design for Manufacture input, transition new or revised designs from development to production, proposal estimating, leading production/pilot line validation activities, driving cost reduction initiatives, identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans, Lockheed Martin and supplier factory manufacturing support and any other program related manufacturing or tooling issues that may arise. This requires frequent communication and collaboration with people located across the United States including other Manufacturing Engineers and other functions like Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts, Program Management etc.
In addition to leading the team this position will need to drive process improvement initiatives at the program level, foster a culture of teaching, advocate for the manufacturing sites and be the voice of manufacturing engineering to the PAC-3 Missile Program. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are a must as well as experience in many of the tasks the team performs. Experience building positive relationships, communicating across functional and physical boundaries and improving processes is required.
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Experience leading teams of Manufacturing Engineers on production programs
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Ability to travel domestic and/or international
Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
Proven ability to improve cost, schedule, quality and/or safety
Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
Advanced degree in a relevant discipline
Experience in government proposals including generating estimates for labor, travel, tooling, capital etc.
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) experience
