Lockheed Martin is seeking an Operations Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support the PAC-3 Program Evolutionary Development/Transition Production Operations team.

The position is the lead for the transition to production activities on several missile and ground system programs. This individual will be the Production Operations lead on development programs, control account management, proposal support and any other program related manufacturing issues that may arise for this program set.

In this role, the selected candidate will use their demonstrated skills and capacity as project lead and ensure that transition best practices are incorporated into the design development and transition phase of production. This includes:

Problem resolution

Ability to work through problems quickly and effectively

Ability to know what level of engagement is required

Decision making, communicate to team who has responsibility and hold them accountable, provide explanations as required to gain team support, provide the team with timely decisions

Integrated Master Plan / Integrated Master Schedule, skills to establish and manage an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

Manages the importance of plans and schedules, utilizes the tools to manage all projects/programs, able to formulate and execute recovery as required

Risk Management, actively participates in identifying and mitigating risks, ensures provision are made for risk management of program activities in accordance with need

Formal Presentation Skills, able to build presentations to deliver intended message, ability to deliver message as charted

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Active clearance or the ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret level clearance

Relevant production experience in a defense / military production business

Demonstrated skills in development and management to an integrated master schedule (IMS)

Demonstrated ability to lead through influence not only through chain of command

Manufacturing knowledge

Strong capacity analysis skills

Ability to influence producability studies

Must have the ability to travel

Desired Skills:

Highly motivated individual

Ability to visualize complex future problems and develop solutions

Knowledge of the SAP MRP production control system

A relevant production operations history which includes mitigation planning after an unplanned production event occurs and the application of root cause / corrective action process to ensure that the unplanned event does not reoccur

Possess understanding of configuration control in production and basic process related to non-conformance resolution

Solid written and verbal communication skills are critical
