Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a an electrical engineer for telemetry and datalink design on an advanced missile system in Grand Prairie, TX.

Responsibilities Include:

Telemetry System Design for a system with significant physical and thermal constraints. Developing the telemetry block diagram, measurement list, and preliminary TM frame to support subsystem performance evaluation. Performing link budget analysis.

Hardware Development: Support or perform analog and digital circuit design and schematic development for power, measurement sampling, decoding, frame formatting, and transmitter interface.

Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Layout and Packaging: Support electrical design layout, mechanical packaging within the missile volume constraints, and thermal analysis to define and develop heat sinking.

Ground System Development: Define, develop (as required), and procure transceiver equipment to communicate with the missile TM to receive, process, and store the telemetry data streams.

Firmware Development: Support the development of the VHDL code for ADC, data bussing, frame formatting, encryption, FTS interfacing, control logic, and DA/peer reviews.

The position requires strong electronic systems design, integration, testing, and excellent troubleshooting skills. The role involves mixed analog and digital design, software development, and hardware/software troubleshooting.

Desired Skills: - Experience in specifying, designing, procuring, implementing, and testing datalink and communication systems.

- Experience in VHDL

- Software knowledge (C, C++, Java, Visual Studio .NET)

- RF antenna and receiver design/test experience

- Familiar with typical business practices

- Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint skills

- Experience with creating presentation charts and general status reports, and delivering presentations to customers

- Experience with proposal creation
