Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer, Senior to perform requirements analysis and requirements management for a position in Grand Prairie, TX. The selected candidate will provide system engineering design and analysis support for an new missile Interceptor. This engineer will apply the Systems Engineering process to analyze and understand our existing processes, tools, work products, and transactions. This data to be captured into a modeling environment, to study our own architecture for improvements and efficiencies.
Evaluating, updating and documenting System Engineering and Business processes. As the process is evaluated and documented, seek to implement and improve on Model Based Engineering processes and interfaces. Strong collaboration with a team will be needed to ensure that all stakeholder needs are captured and validated. Performs analyses for total systems at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

MFC in Action
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
2-5 years of systems engineering experience supporting technical programs
Must have a secret clearance
Experience with a development program, and capturing design decisions into trade studies, architecture documents and requirements
Familiarity with military systems, including missiles, sensors and their sub-systems, such as solid rocket motors, control actuation systems, navigation systems and similar
Familiar with simulation, and test
Familiar with a requirement management tool, such as DOORs
Experience documenting architectures including both physical and functional
Familiarity with RPE
Experience working with sub-contractors, and teams
Good communication skills, both written and oral
Experience in managing risk
