Lockheed Martin Avionics Technician in Greenville, South Carolina

Description: This position will be in Tucson, Arizona.

F-16 Avionics Technician: Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft avionics systems to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft avionics systems, such as communication/navigation, attack, instruments and flight control systems. Determines feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. May provide technical guidance and OJT to customer technicians.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/INFO: Candidate must be a high school graduate or have completed an equivalent program. Progressive and documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance environment. Documented qualifications in related maintenance fields. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must read, write and speak English fluently. Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead. This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting. Assignment location is in Tucson, Arizona.

*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

* Must have or be able to rapidly secure a DOD secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Aircraft Avionics experience.

Candidate must have held a USAF skill level 5(or equivalent) in their career field.

Candidate must have at least 4 years’ experience with F-16 aircraft maintenance activities.

Desired Skills:

USAF 7 level or equivalent

Previous experience setting up maintenance work areas

Perform routine system troubleshooting, installation and repair.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)

Aircraft Mechanic / Aircraft craftsman A&P Lic.

Ground handling, minor maintenance, and servicing
