This position is in Enterprise Business Services (EBS) Space CIO, reporting to the IT Infrastructure Director. Responsible for ensuring that customer needs are satisfied through managing and coordinating specific information technology deliverables; including the overall program/project plan, budget, structure, earned value, schedule and staffing requirement.
Manages company, EBS and third party vendors as well as assures that integrated server software and hardware solutions are provided to meet customer's need, including the responsibility for technical development. Provides focus at a leadership and architectural level for our servers, storage, data centers, disaster recovery, and audit activities.
Instrumental in the overall visioning, planning, delivery, selling, and communicating of Infrastructure Server Operations and Services. Responsible for the SSC Infrastructure server architecture, system integration, strategy and roadmaps, configuration management, and protection of data. Planning and execution of all deliverables, including engineering, and milestones.
Other responsibilities include: • Organize and conduct program/project status reviews, team meetings and activities according to required business rhythms. • Strategic planning and vendor engagement • Provide regular written and verbal communication and status to Space IT Director • Ensuring assigned budgets are adhered to and optimally used to facilitate achieving the organizational goals • Supporting a flexible work schedule (including off hours and holidays as needed) • Support travel as required to meet business and organizations needs
U.S. citizenship required and eligible for a TS/SCI
Basic Qualifications • 3-5 years extensive experience working on Server Operations and Services or Infrastructure Operations and Services • Demonstrated knowledge of configuration management and control practices • Demonstrated experience in program management skills including risk, earned value and problem management • Demonstrated experience in developing and communicating technical strategies and plans • Demonstrated knowledge of operations environment for server support including problem solving, planning for and responding to server outages, and root cause analysis • Demonstrated budget management to include capital planning • Demonstrated ability to effectively present and interact across multiple organizational levels • Demonstrated effective project management skills to simultaneously manage multiple projects to include: personnel, budget, schedule and risk. • Demonstrated ability to develop exceptional customer relations and collaborate as a key member of a leadership team with the ability to motivate and engage a team
Desired skills • 2-3 years experience in managing Server Operations and Services or Infrastructure Operations and Services of at least $1M in scope annually • High performance computing experience (Penguin, Cray) • Strong communication and presentation skills • Strong collaboration and teaming skills • ITIL knowledge/certification • Experience managing large programs (>$10M & 50+ people) in multiple locations • Development and implementation of technology insertion initiatives and service level agreements • Experience with leading Data Center Consolidation • Strong Compute/Storage/Networking Technical skills • Experience with Cloud Enablement (AWS, Azure, Google) • Experience with Managing Hybrid Cloud Environment • Experience with Agile and Dev/Ops
