Lockheed Martin DEII East Coast Operations Lead in Herndon, Virginia
Description: This critical position will lead the Operations and Maintenance activities at the East Coast customer site on the Double Eagle-II (DE-II) program. DE-II is a consolidated Operations and Maintenance program that includes scope across a large mission portfolio as well as across three separate geographic locations. The program is comprised of 600 FTE(s) with LM as prime and Boeing and Raytheon as significant subcontractors. The program performs 24/7 Command & Control, Mission Planning/Scheduling, Echelon-1 Mission Engineering, Test, Readiness, and Anomaly activities under a mainly Firm Fixed Price construct.
There are approximately 300 personnel (LM and Subs) supporting the program at/near the East Site. The DEII East OPS Lead shares responsibility with the East OPS Engineering Lead for overseeing day-to-day mission operations activities at the East site for multiple missions ensuring program requirements are achieved and/or exceeded. The DEII East OPS Lead works closely with customers to ensure they’re happy with the Team’s performance and address any issues or concerns as they arise. The selected candidate will oversee cost/technical/schedule performance of several Operations and Engineering Teams, including managing, tracking, and reporting on budgets for any associated CLINS. Please note that the specific technical scope and sharing relationship with the Engineering Lead may evolve over time. Further, this position is responsible for developing and executing the overall DEII site-level strategy and will work closely with the DEII PMO, as well as other Site Leads, to ensure successful execution of the entire DEII contract, driving customer value, enterprise behavior, and innovation. The Site Lead responsibilities also includes serving as functional manager for a majority of the LM employees assigned to the East Site and periodically leading and coordinating site-wide LM activities, responses, and communication. An active Top Secret / SCI with a CI Poly is required in order to be considered.
The selected candidate needs to have:
- Experience leading/directing Operations and Maintenance programs
- Strong communication skills
- Functional Manager (L-code) Experience
- Experience in cost account management
- Experience in driving enterprise behaviors and innovation/process improvements
- Strong customer interface skills
- Experience working with all three locations that comprise DEII and their missions
- Experience working with a geographically distributed team
- Familiarity with DEII processes and business rhythm
- Experience managing under an FFP contract
- Understanding the customer organization and policies
