Lockheed Martin Software Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama

Description: Candidate will perform as lab manager of test beds supporting THAAD Ground Systems Development Organization (GSDO). Primary job functions will include interfacing with the GSDO Test Engineering Manager to develop and execute test operations in support of the THAAD Program in a multi-use, multi-component software test lab. Primary responsibilities is managing GSDO software test bed laboratory equipment and area which includes the following: 1) custodian for lab hardware, 2) maintain classified lab network systems and connectivity, 3) support testing in lab for software build deliveries, 4) maintaining user accounts verifying thru security, 5) maintain COMSEC accountability for items in lab, 6) maintain test bed logs and documentation as required, 7) manage configuration changes to the lab for new equipment and/or upgrades, 8) participate and support facilities planning and coordination for lab (power, HVAC, etc), 9) provide documentation support for procedures, software install instructions, charts, diagrams as required, 10) maintain weekly lab support meetings and 11) maintain software licenses in lab as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

10 years minimum demonstrated experience in system test engineering, software development, integration and testing; software test planning experience; and /or hardware or software test laboratory experience.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. This position requires development of test schedules, planning resources and equipment readiness. Also providing resources for equipment, lab space, coordinated support personnel, etc.

Provide planning, budget, coordination and execution in support of major projects; support multiple program priorities including test campaigns; be similar to the RAS (Responsible Area Superintendent) program; be responsible for a Safety-First Environment to provide a safe working environment for the test operations. Experience in briefing executive-level management, government and industry customers.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully between multiple engineering disciplines.

Must hold a DoD Secret clearance or higher.
