Description: Work location: Killeen, TX
-The candidate will be the act as the Special Repair Activity (SRA) Lead Engineer for the Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision System (M-TADS/PNVS).
-The position will require interface with Apache Fire Control staff in all SRA operations and program staff in Orlando as well as production facilities.
-This position is the ultimate depot technical interface with engineering, reliability, test equipment engineering, and quality.
-The SRA Lead Engineering updates Repair Center Procedures (RCPs), validates Contractor Installation Procedures (CIPs) for retrofit actions, reviews Engineering Releases (ERs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), training manuals, and engineering.
-Ensures all engineering releases that impact the field are brought to the attention of the SRA network.
-Develops solutions and resolves technical problems facing the SRA network.
-May be called upon to assist the flight line to resolve technical issues.
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Must have at least an Associate's Degree from an accredited college, preferably in Engineering or related technical discipline
Must have at least 14 years of professional experience.
Candidate is required to have technical leadership experience in one or more of the following:
-Technical support of military hardware
-Evaluating hardware and software changes to mission equipment and test equipment
-Corrective Action (developing and implementing changes to prevent failures)
-Leading technical solutions for military equipment
Candidates must also have experience in:
-Flight hardware and test equipment
-Knowledge in engineering documentation, review processes, and change processes
-Ability to review data and statuses and derive trends
-Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)
-Ability to prepare and accomplish presentations
-Excellent communication skills and Customer Service orientation
-Active Secret security clearance
-Knowledge and experience of flight hardware, flight line operations, depot test equipment, and depot repair operations
-Ability to lift 35 pounds
-Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop and deliver oral presentations to senior leaders
-Demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
-Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs
