Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Contracts professional in the Commercial Civil Space Line of Business of Lockheed Martin Space.
The candidate will serve as the Contracts Lead to the Advanced Programs mission area and is expected to interface to internal and external customers while being responsible for shaping and executing complex and business critical contracting strategies to support keep sold initiatives and secure new business growth of Commercial Civil Space.
Duties will include RFP analysis, proposal preparation, maintaining accurate and complete contractual records, providing contracts leadership and guidance to junior contracts staff and interfacing with internal and external customers. Must be able to identify risks and contract issues and effectively address them in a timely manner. Candidate will support a portfolio of new business captures and administration of existing US Government contracts (primarily NASA).
The selected candidate must have the ability to exercise initiative, participate in strategy development, and work in an independent manner. This position requires interface with LM Space and Corporate leadership as well as support functions (including risk management) and excellent communication skills are a must. Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work directly with Capture Management on multiple types of contracts (Commercial, Grants, Public Private Partnerships, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, T&M & FFP).

U.S. Government Contracting experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High analytical ability and results oriented
Able to work effectively and independently in a dynamic environment
Ability to identify risk and understand financial implications
Experience in follow on and competitive proposal preparation and contract negotiations
Ability to travel domestically as position requires
Experience in NASA proposal preparation, negotiation and contract administration
Creative contracting and pathfinder experiences in contract management
Demonstrated experience with commercial contracts, FAR/DFARS based contracts, including incentive fee knowledge of both cost type and fixed price arrangements
Production contract and performance based payment experience a plus, along with the ability to work with virtual teams, including upper management
