Lockheed Martin Cybersecurity Engineer/Security Engineer/Systems Security Engineer in Littleton, Colorado

Description: This position fulfills a Cyber Security/Information

Assurance (IA)/Systems Security Engineering role

with the LM Space Systems Security Engineering

Team in support of Cedalion and other Programs out

of the LM Deer Creek Facility, Denver, CO. This

position may require travel to various customer

locations. The candidate will provide assistance in

Cyber Security related to the Risk Management

Framework (RMF), Security Architecture, Security

Assessments, Trade Studies and formal Accreditation

& Authorization efforts (A&A).

The selected candidate will provide Cyber IA

technical support to engineering teams across

multiple platforms with performance execution and

delivery, and ensuring customer achieves mission

success via milestone completions. The selected candidate will identify technical and operational requirements to support development of secure solutions and evaluate security controls to ensure compliance with applicable RMF requirements and standards.

The candidate will perform security activities

necessary to support and evaluate system changes to

assess their impact on security. The candidate must

be able to operate with minimal direction in a

dynamic customer focused environment.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility

requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active/Current Certification: Security + (as a

minimum) with commitment to obtain CISSP or CISM

certification within 6 months from hired date

• Demonstrated experience performing IA activities in

support of software and system requirements,

design, development, testing and sustainment

• Demonstrated experience supporting Department of

Defense (DOD) or Intel IA Programs.

• Experience with Risk Management Framework

(RMF) implementation across multiple phases of a

medium to large programs

• Working Knowledge of day-to-day responsibilities for

Information System Security Engineer/Official

(ISSE/ISSO)

• Hands-on experience with ACAS / Nessus or similar

tools

Desired Skills:

• Experience with employment of DoD or Intel IA

requirements, policies, and processes to include

certification and accreditation as part of legacy

DIACAP transitioning to new RMF standards

• Experience with risk and vulnerability assessments

and mitigation

• Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber/IA

regulations and requirements to senior customers,

senior LM leaders, the program engineering staff and

the IA Cyber Inside team

• Experience with Secure Configuration & Hardening

of DoD Information Systems for multiple OS

Platforms (i.e. Windows Server 2008, 2012, RHEL 6,

7)

• Working Knowledge for Executing ISSE/ISSO Tasks

& Duties including:

–Manual data transfers

–Responding to reported security incidents

–Reviewing ACAS scans on a monthly basis of several systems (operational and development)

–Analysis of findings

–Working with system administrators and developers

to understand impact

–Recommending remediation/fixes

–POA&M maintenance of accredited systems

–XACTA maintenance/review for accredited systems

–Submitting security-related change requests into the

development cycle

–Submitting security impact assessments of

changes/upgrades to systems

–Ongoing accreditation efforts

–Potential accreditation efforts for new environments

–In-briefings for new program employees

–Account requests

–Review of hardware entering/exiting the SCIF

–Occasional security reminders and memos to the

program

–Audit log review
