Lockheed Martin Electronics Engr Manager in Littleton, Colorado

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking an Associate Electronics Engineering Manager for a position in Denver, CO to lead an Avionics production and development team. The position will lead a growing team of mixed discipline engineers (6+) whose primary mission is to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile FBM Reentry Avionics team in the development and production of Test Reentry Bodies. The production team consists of block and wiring diagram designers, package level designers, system level designers, and electronics test team. The Position will involve leading, coordinating, and reporting the efforts of this group.

Position Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the team, managing personnel, staffing, schedule compliance, and driving hardware deliveries to achieve mission success.

You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and Certified Principal Engineers CPEs regarding production failure investigations and priority decisions and development direction. You will also lead/facilitate any process improvement or development . You should be a self-starter with proven record of working well with multi-discipline engineering teams, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Managers and Supervisors. You should have broad range of experience related to electrical engineering, electronics system management and electronic development and troubleshooting to ensure success. Experience building positive relationships, communicating across functional and physical boundaries, improving cost, schedule, technical quality and safety is desired. Candidate shall demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors and recruit, retain and develop a diverse workforce and actively participate in the mentorship program

Basic Qualifications:

*US Citizenship required for DoD Secret Clearance

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline

• Experience with complex electronic hardware for airborne or space platforms.

• Demonstrated leadership attributes.

• Strong team leadership skills and experience leading people and technical investigations

• Experience communicating technical topics to non-technical customers / leadership and communicating customer/leadership desires to technical team.

• Experience in development, integration, test, and demonstration of an electronics solution which complies with all performance requirements.

• Broad technical expertise and experience in aspects of electronics design, test and verification

• Full Spectrum Leadership capability with strong oral, written, and presentation skills including the ability to interact effectively with customers and senior program management.

• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules with minimal direct oversight

• Willing to travel and/or work overtime supporting off shifts and weekends in a 24/7 operations environment. This position will lead a team mostly based in Sunnyvale until 2022 and require monthly travel to Sunnyvale.

• Experience in spacecraft testing, including development of detailed test plans, procedures and scripts

• Experience with MS Project, Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) or equivalent engineering data repository, and MS Office tools.

• Prior experience as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or technical lead is a plus.

• Experience communicating technical topics to non-technical customers / leadership and communicating customer/leadership desires to technical team.

• Familiar with Automation Framework

• Experience with spacecraft/EGSE hardware integration, testing and anomaly resolution

• Experience with RF Test and Measurement equipment and methods.

• Experienced in software development such as JAS, Python, Test Stand and C++

• Demonstrated experience working and interfacing with Government customers

• Trained in or experience in Control Account Management (CAM)
