This position will support the military space line of business working multiple programs/projects. The candidate will perform Materials and Processes (M&P) technical engineering assignments related to fast paced development and research projects. The candidate will troubleshoot problems and find innovative solutions. Candidate will need to make risk-based decisions while balancing cost and schedule.
The candidate will participate in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of materials & processes, prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.
The candidate will coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement. Candidate needs to be able to make objective evidence based logical decisions where the “correct answer” may not exist.
This position requires access to Export Controlled Information and the ability to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Defect and failure analysis disposition experience.
Previous experience working on aerospace vehicles or hardware.
Experience communicating with internal and external customers on a regular basis. Ability to represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues.
Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their deliverable are provided on time and meet requirements.
Self-starter who can develop solutions to technical issues with only general direction.
Familiarity with printed wiring board / circuit card assembly and the associated processes including soldering, conformal coating, staking, etc.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
