Lockheed Martin Principal RF Engineer for Classified Spacecraft in Littleton, Colorado
_Littleton, Colorado_: Advanced Programs RF (APRF) is seeking an ISR chief architect who will lead a team of engineers spanning mission analysis, RF analysis (links, timing, coverage, etc.), spacecraft configuration, complex payload analysis and trades, constellation design, and ground interfaces to develop next generation architectures. The chief architect will identify the critical modeling/simulations to be performed for complex payloads and constellations, and lead trades to identify the configuration that results in optimum performance, schedule, and cost. The individual will work closely with a variety of disciplines (systems engineers, mechanical engineers, RF engineers, etc. to identify key algorithm, payload, and constellation requirements which meet mission needs, lead the design and construction of models for simulation and verification. Also, participate in proposals for future designs. This is a high-visibility, fast-paced environment with opportunities to work a variety of mission spaces and payloads. This role will be expected to perform the following duties for the SSC APRF Organization:
• Enable business growth by successful technical execution, innovation and customer engagement. • Support proposal capture and development activities • Receive and interpret RFI/RFPs to break down requirements into architectural concepts. • Collaborate with Antenna, RF (Radio Frequency), DSP (digital signal processing) Structures, Power and other satellite subsystem leads to create competitive offerings for both new spacecraft and enhancements to existing spacecraft • Ensure technical performance measures (TPMs) are established and tracked

Basic Qualifications (1) At least 15 years experience with complex system architecture design and analysis for RF applications. (2) Deep experience in STK and MATLAB or other orbital and mathematical simulation/modeling tools, including tools to payload performance metrics (3) Significant experience in a variety of sensor phenomenologies with both transmit and receive capabilities (4) Demonstrated success with leading technical presentations, technical papers/proposals (5) Experience with space architectures for variety of orbital regimes and interfaces to ground systems
Desired skills (1) At least 10 years experience with leading multi-discipline teams in advanced development areas. (2) Demonstrated success with high profile briefings to internal team executives and external high-ranking customers (3) Significant technical depth in variety of signal types spanning traditional radar, synthetic aperture radar, and variety of existing and emerging wireless communication protocols (4) Significant experience with digital signal processing techniques (such as cross correlation for TDOA/FDOA and detection processing)
